Trabzon Hagia Sophia Museum

The history of this unique structure, dating back to the Byzantine Empire period, extends to the 13th century. Trabzon Hagia Sophia Museum, with its frescoes and architecture, is one of the most impressive historical monuments that attract the attention of tourists, both domestic and foreign.

Sümela Monastery

One of the most iconic and symbolic structures of the city is undoubtedly the Sümela Monastery. Built in 386 AD, this structure, which amazes the viewers, is one of the most popular attractions for tourists. The story of this magnificent monastery, located within the boundaries of Altındere Valley National Park in the Maçka district of Trabzon province, is quite sad. According to the story, Virgin Mary couldn't bear the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and drowned in tears. These tears formed a cave on the rocks. This structure, which is also very important for the Christian world, must be seen.

Atatürk Pavilion

Trabzon Atatürk Pavilion is an important structure located in the Soğuksu neighborhood of the province. Initially built by Konstantin Kabayanidis, a Greek origin, to be used as a summer residence, this building passed to the Treasury after the population exchange in 1923 and was transformed into a pavilion where Atatürk could rest during his visits. Since this significant pavilion shed light on a period from 1890 to 1912, it attracts attention.

Boztepe

Trabzon Boztepe is a place located 3 km away from the city center and mesmerizes the viewers with its scenery. Boztepe, which is the most suitable place to see all of Trabzon from a bird's eye view, is also a beautiful spot for those who love taking photographs. Here, you can enjoy tea while overlooking the city and admire the view.

Trabzon Museum

First built as a residence by Kostaki Teophylaktos, a banker of the period, between 1898 and 1913, this museum was allocated as a museum by the Ministry of Culture in 1987. One of the most important features of this museum is that all walls of the mansion, except the basement floor, are adorned with handcrafted decorations. The Archeological Artefacts Section is located on the basement floor of the mansion. The ground floor houses the mansion exhibition, and the first floor houses the Ethnographic Artefacts Section. It will be the right choice, especially for those who love museum visits.

Trabzon Castle

Trabzon Castle, one of the most sought-after structures by tourists, is one of the most important historical heritages of our country that has survived from the Roman period to the present day. Consisting of 3 different sections, the castle was particularly used to protect against attacks from the sea after the conquest of Trabzon by Fatih Sultan Mehmet. Additionally, since this castle is located at the highest point of the region, it also offers a magnificent view.

Uzungöl

Uzungöl, located in Uzungöl District of Trabzon's Çaykara district, is a place consisting of 3 villages and has a unique beauty with its lake. Uzungöl stands out with its lake view and the area surrounded by various trees and plants. If you want to connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere while having coffee or tea, Uzungöl is a must-visit place.

Hıdırnebi Plateau

Hıdırnebi Plateau, located at an altitude of 1600 meters in Akçaabat district of Trabzon, is one of the most popular tourist centers of the province. The plateau, located 36 kilometers away from the city center, is a place that attracts attention with its natural beauties that appeal to visitors all year round. There are many points here that will captivate photography enthusiasts especially. Visitors to Hıdırnebi Plateau can also visit Balıklıgöl due to its proximity.
