5 Places on Beşiktaş Breakfast Street
Breakfast cafes of Beşiktaş drummed into us with their pişi (Turkish fried dough) and their special presentations...
If you want to spend some quality time on your own or with your loved ones on any day of the week while breathing some fresh sea air (and for affordable prices), Beşiktaş breakfast cafes are the right place for you.
Breakfast cafes will be waiting for you on both sides of Çelebioğlu street, right after the famous Beşiktaş Eagle statue. We listed our five favorite places to visit if you want an enjoyable culinary trip among these tiny (or larger) breakfast cafes.
1- Çakmak Kahvaltı Salonu
As one of the oldest places on the alley, Çakmak Kahvaltı Salonu is a top-ranking establishment in terms of taste. The secret behind their delicacies is their products being brought from their home, all the way from Erzincan. This breakfast cafe will satisfy you, mind and belly. It is open until 6 pm.
Address: Sinanpaşa, Çelebi Oğlu Sk. No:8, 34353 Beşiktaş/İstanbul
2- Kardeş Payı
Following the oldest, we want to introduce you to the newest. This cafe was actually opened by Çakmak Kahvaltı Salonu’s old employees, reflecting their extensive experiences in this new venue. Accompanied by popular foreign pop songs, they aim to become a place for students. Different from other breakfast cafes, their delicious pancakes and “gypsy salad” are waiting for you.
Address: Sinanpaşa, Çelebi Oğlu Sk. No:5, 34353 Beşiktaş/İstanbul
3- Limos Cafe
Having a rich mixed breakfast culture, Limos Cafe is famous for its large variety of pişi breads. Located at the beginning of the alley, this Beşiktaş breakfast cafe is also rather affordable. Recognized for its college student-friendly manner, the cafe especially won our hearts for its “pending breakfast” application for college students. We suggest their vegetable crepe.
Address: Sinanpaşa, Çelebi Oğlu Sk. No:11, 34353 Beşiktaş/İstanbul
4- Pişi Kahvaltı ve Burger
As befits the name... This place is among the most well-known Beşiktaş breakfast cafes, especially famous for their pişi recipes which will remind you of your mother’s. They also opened a new branch in Kadıköy. Their roast meat/kashar cheese, minced meat, and Nutella fried doughs are among the favorites. Its cozy environment and lovely employees make this place a must-see on your weekend trips.
Address: Sinanpaşa Mahallesi, Çelebioğlu Sokak, No 14-16B, Beşiktaş, İstanbul
5- Otlangaç Kahvaltı ve Kafe
Offering a peaceful and comfy environment with its blue and white concept, Otlangaç is famous for its perfectly creamy Mıhlama, fresh garnitures, and tasty “sigara böreği” (deep fried rolls with cheese filling). It is a little farther from Çelebioğlu street; so, if you want to have a delicious but quiet breakfast a little farther from the crowd, Otlangaç is the right place for you.
Address: Sinanpaşa Mahallesi, Şair Veysi Sokak, No 20/B, Beşiktaş, İstanbul
