July Concerts
The Jazz Boat by IKSV
As part of the Istanbul Jazz Festival events, the Jazz Boat promises a lively and enjoyable Sunday with each part of the ferry turning into a different stage. Istanbul swing group Brassist, early jazz selections by Karambola, Russian jazz band The Big Rhythm, and DJ sets by Shangri La will turn the Sunday into a festival. The ferry will depart from Kabataş Pier at 11 AM, dock at Anadolu Kavağı at 12:30 PM, and return to Kabataş at 2:30 PM.

Goran Bregović

This summer promises great events for rock and metal music lovers, starting with a concert by Bruce Dickinson, one of the world’s biggest rock stars. Accompanied by Ray Z on guitar, Dave Moreno on drums, Tanya O’Callaghan on bass guitar, and Mistheria on keyboards, Dickinson will deliver an amazing setlist of old and new songs.

Zengin Mutfağı
We think everyone has seen it by now, but we still couldn’t leave it out of the list. Watching the master artist Şener Şen in Vasıf Öngören’s "Zengin Mutfağı," which depicts the major workers' movement of June 15-16, 1970, in the history of the Republic, is a great pleasure. The lighting of "Zengin Mutfağı," which reflects the events in a humorous way, is by Afife Jale award-winning Cem Yılmazer.

Bir Baba Hamlet
The highly popular play "Bir Baba Hamlet," starring Günay Karacaoğlu and Şevket Çoruh, will once again meet theater lovers in July for those who haven’t seen it yet. With translation by Yücel Erten and performed by Baba Sahne, "Bir Baba Hamlet" has received full marks from audiences and is going on a city-wide tour this summer.

July Festivals
31st Istanbul Jazz Festival
Since 1994, the Istanbul Jazz Festival has become a tradition for Istanbul every July, and this year it’s returning for the 31st time with a rich program. The festival will host internationally renowned jazz, rock, R&B, and blues artists such as Grammy-winning Gregory Porter, the romantic prince of rock Chris Isaak, one of the most successful living saxophonists Joshua Redman, and the highly successful saxophonist YolanDa Brown. Various venues in Istanbul will welcome the audience.

David Salle-Un-Accompanied Minors
David Salle, one of the significant artists in art history, presents his "Un-Accompanied Minors" exhibition, consisting of 21 new paintings created for Istanbul in different sizes. The exhibition also features paintings from Salle’s new series "Windows."
