Hamburger

Said to have originated in New Haven, Connecticut, hamburgers are considered a staple of all Americans today. Whether it’s a fast-food chain or a fine dining restaurant, the hamburger is the common element of all menus. Famous for its hamburgers made with ground beef made from a mixture of five different types of meat on a century-old cast-iron grill, Louis Lunch is still the undisputed best.

Clam Chowder

Especially if you see a white and lumpy soup that’s in abundance in Boston, from street stalls to restaurants, you can be sure it’s a clam soup. Contrary to its unpleasant appearance, the appealing and tasty soup is cooked by combining scallops with heavy cream, soft potatoes, and various herbs.

Oven-Baked Naan

Deep-fried yeast dough is from the Native American traditions of 150 years ago, and you can still find it in many parts of the country, especially in Indian markets. It can be consumed plain or as an Indian taco filled with ground beef, onion, tomato, and lettuce. It is a calorie bomb as well as delicious.

BLT (Initials of Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato)

The original recipe for BLT, the second favorite sandwich after the ham sandwich in the United States, is rumored to be based on a 1903 cookbook. Although there are many different ways of making, BLT usually consists of toast, Bacon (usually pork), Lettuce, Tomato, and mayonnaise.

Apple pie

Pie is a trendy dessert made in the USA. While there are lemon, chocolate, cherry, and pumpkin versions, the most favorite across the country is arguably the apple pie. Although its origin is not based in the USA, some declare the pie, which has turned into a distinctive American flavor over time, as a “national flavor.”

Florida Stone Crab

Especially preferred for being a refreshing meal on summer days, crab is served with a tangy mustard sauce. In order to protect the wildlife and the living population, after the crabs are caught, one claw is removed, they are rereleased, and they are allowed to breed.

Roast beef

Exceptional food for American families, roast beef is a favorite on Sunday, especially for families with children. Potatoes, carrots, onions, and beef are boiled in a deep saucepan, then red wine or beer is added.

Delmonico’s Steak

In fact, steak, which first appeared in Delmonico’s restaurant, which opened in 1837 and still serves, has become a term that means “the best” today. Delmonico’s steak, grilled over a fire after being soaked in salt and butter and served with a sauce made with cream, parmesan cheese, nutmeg, and white pepper, is considered the best steak universally accepted.

Hot Dog

Along with the hamburger, one of the first two foods that will come to everyone’s mind when you think of America is the hot dog. The inventor of the sandwich is said to be a German named Charles Feltman, but it turned into a nationwide icon with the International Hot Dog Eating Contest held every July 4th. Steamed or water-cooked beef is usually served without ketchup.

Peanut Butter Sandwich

One of the indispensable flavors of American cuisine is definitely peanut butter. Americans love peanut butter so much that they have it in their every meal and at any time of the day. It is even said that the banana, butter, and peanut butter sandwich is Elvis Presley’s favorite dish.
